Heathers Biography

I grew up in Austin, TX and moved to Colorado Springs after receiving my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Baylor University. After working in adolescent residential treatment centers, I completed my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. After receiving my degree, I worked as a therapist, an adoption liaison to the Department of Human Services, and as a supervisor in several outpatient mental health centers. Before moving into private practice in 2007, I specialized in (and supervised) child and family therapy, community outreach programs, adoption, grief, and trauma. I have worked extensively with active duty and retired military members and their families, and have a vast knowledge of their unique challenges and strengths. I consider it an honor to guide and walk alongside clients in their healing journey.
I am married with two daughters and one step-daughter in the U.S. Navy.  I reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado. More...
